This has certainly been a whirlwind couple of months for the Girl Smarts program. After venturing out and working a franchising aspect for the program, I’ve come to believe that is not the correct vehicle to move this program around the country. I’m now focused on spreading the program here in Virginia, finding some strong facilitators in the state and training them on the Girl Smarts curriculum. That’s right, I said curriculum. One of the outcomes of the past six months is the creation of the full curriculum for the program. I’m also creating camp curriculum as well as some party supplements if you’d like the Girl Smarts flair to your child’s birthday party. This summer I’ll be running two camps in Stafford for those folks in the county and Spotsy and Prince William and one camp in Arlington if you are further north. You can sign up for those programs by accessing the camp page and clicking on the registration connections.
Recently I had the opportunity to sit with Dee from B101.5 and talk about the importance of “Grit” in our girls. You can access the show from my Facebook page at Girl Smarts. If you have a chance to listen, I brought a wonderful guest who exemplifies the concept of grit and the importance of grit in a way you cannot just talk to.
Please contact me with any questions you might have about the program and let’s get our girls growing strong and smart in the coming school year!
